Cathedral of Our Lady

If you went to Antwerp and did not pass by the Cathedral of Our Lady, you are missing out! Its gothic style is a milestone in the history of architecture.

To add to the cathedral’s beauty, there are unique stained-glass windows, as well as works of Peter Paul Rubens. They were taken by Napoleon and returned in 1918. In the back of the cathedral you will find the statue of orphan Nello and his dog Patrache. It is based on the novel A Dog in Flanders, a touching story about friendship and loyalty (which we also recommend you read).
