Antwerp Zoo

Right by the central station you will find the Antwerp Zoo. Established in 1843, it is the oldest zoo in Belgium and is home to 8 000 exotic animals from all over the world.

Inside the zoo, it is so peaceful you’ll forget you’re in the center of the city. Our favorite area has to be the Butterfly Garden, an immersive area with more than 600 flying beauties. You can take a stroll in the zoo but also engage in different activities, such as talks by keepers, or watch scuba divers in the reef aquarium.

Antwerp Zoo is open all days of the year, from 10:00-18:00. The zoo is only a 9-minute walk away from the Central Station and Chocolate Nation.
