Welcome to Bergen! Norway’s rain-kissed gem nestled between mountains and fjords, where colorful wooden houses line the historic Bryggen waterfront. This is the land of trolls, fresh seafood, and locals who don’t let a little drizzle stop the fun (or anything, really). Ride the Fløibanen for stunning views, wander cobbled streets, and soak up a city that’s equal parts cozy charm and wild nature. Umbrella optional—but recommended.

All you need to know

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00. If you want to stay a little longer, let us know. You can stay (by request) until 14:00 for free in a double room if you are a Citybox Friend. If you want to stay even longer, you’ll, unfortunately, need to pay for another night as we need time to clean the room before the next guest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours in our luggage room in the lobby.

Airport bus: Look for signs pointing to the airport bus terminal. An express bus called “Flybussen” goes from the airport to the city center. You can easily buy tickets at the bus terminal or online.

Light Rail: There’s also an excellent light rail system called “Bybanen.” It’s a train that goes right into the city center. You can find the station inside the airport terminal; follow the well-marked signs.

Get off at “Bergen Busstasjon,” and the hotel is a 5-minute walk away.

You can also travel by taxi, but we recommend the light rail or bus, both are more sustainable and nicer to your wallet!

Yes! Our luggage storage is open for all guests before check-in and after check-out. Simply use the terminals to get a keycard for the luggage room. Please note that luggage is stored at the guest’s own risk. And as always, if you need help ask our hosts at the hotel!

If you need to wash your clothes, there is a self-service laundromat located on the second floor. Laundry detergent is included in the price and goes into the machine automatically. The price for one wash is NOK 50,- and so is one round in the dryer. We accept card payments only. Open from 09:00 to 21:00.

Breakfast is not included. Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the vending machines in the lobby. We also have a guest kitchen equipped with a microwave oven and kettles, so you are able to prepare your own breakfast.

Unfortunately, we do not offer parking at the hotel. However, you can park at Grieg Park, located under the Grieg Hall just across the road, or at the City Garage (Bygarasjen) by the bus station, which is only a few minutes’ walk away.
Grieg Park charges NOK 280 per day, while Bygarasjen offers a daily rate of NOK 250.
