Thin crust pizza with unusual and exciting combos of toppings like chicken and cornflakes, side by side with good old favorites like tomato and cheese or pepperoni. 



In addition to pizza, they also serve oysters and a selection of other small dishes to share. They also have a good selection of natural wine. The atmosphere is relaxed, with good music and a cool vibe. A must-try! 



Price level: pizzas are around 200-250 NOK (and absolutely worth it).

I mean, who doesn&#8217;t love tacos? At OkiDoki you&#8217;ll get real, authentic Mexican tacos &#8211; which has raised great reviews with the local newspapers. Its the perfect place for a nice and intimate dinner, either with friends or a loved one. We recommend the Ceviche tostada and a Margarita! 



Its only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and the atmosphere is really what keeps you coming back for more. As a Citybox guest you also get a 10% discount on food. Just show your keycard!

A large, pleasant bar that is relatively new in Bergen. The drinks are not too shabby, and they have a good selection of beer and wine. They serve several types of mini tacos, which are super good. Perfect if you want something small to eat or have some snacks throughout the evening. The best part about the place? It&#8217;s right next to the hotel!



As a guest at Citybox, you get a 10% discount at Nedre Nygaard. Their menu is excellent and they are located in the same building as us. Just show your Citybox key card to get the discount.

Love the smell of fresh pastries? Just a 5-minute walk from Citybox Bergen you&#8217;ll get just that. Freshly baked croissants, a classic &#8220;kanelsnurr&#8221; &#8211; you&#8217;ll have a hard time deciding what to eat. If the weather is nice it is even possible to sit outside and enjoy the sun. 



If you have your breakfast here, you won&#8217;t regret it!

If you are particular about your coffee you&#8217;ll have to make a trip to Café Blom. This cosy little neighborhood coffee bar specializes in coffee. Each cup is made with special consideration to their guests and the result is simply amazing. 



Enjoy it at the café or grab it to-go.

Café Blom

Shiraz is a cozy, little Persian restaurant that just opened up by our hotel in Bergen. Fun fact &#8211; it is actually the first Persian restaurant to open in the city! 



Their menu consist of delicious grilled dishes of chicken and lamb and casseroles that will leave you wanting more. Enjoy it with a one of their signature mocktails and you will be set for the evening. All in all a really cozy place where you can bring your partner and/or your friends! 



PS: There is a limited number of seats in the restaurants, so make sure you book a table in advance!

Chocolate person? Yeah, I know. We all are. Fjåk chocolate shop &amp; café can be found just a minutes walk from our hotel and is the perfect place to start the day. On their menu you&#8217;ll find not only the best chocolate sweets, but delicious breakfast and brunch dishes. They have plenty of tables where you can sit and enjoy your food while doing plenty of people watching of the people of the city. For the best of both worlds we recommend the hot chocolate paired with one of the sandwiches (The avocado one is really good, but no surprise there). 



If you&#8217;re looking to make the most of your visit, we recommend adding the brown cheese cake as a desert. It is truly one of a kind!

Jest is the ideal place if you are looking for a dining experience that is both effortlessly enjoyable and exquisitely tasty. Located in the heart of Bergen, this charming restaurant offers a variety of snacks and sharing menus, perfect for an evening with friends! To complement your meal, Jest offers an impressive selection of wines. It really is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and soak in the vibrant spirit of Bergen.



On sunny days we recommend you try to get a table outside for the ultimate experience!

A new and trendy eatery that focuses on brunch, and oh boy, the brunch is good!



The menu consists of various set menus inspired by famous cities, e.g., Brooklyn Brunch or Brisbane Brunch. With the set menus, you get several small dishes named and a small dessert. So good! They also have regular sandwiches and other smaller dishes, but we recommend trying the set menus.



Bergen Brunch is the perfect place for brunch and bubbles. A good tip is to order a table before you get there, as they are often fully booked.

A delectable feast awaits on a wooden table, surrounded by plates filled with a variety of food. The spread includes a succulent bowl of shrimp adorned with dill, a plate of vibrant green salad teeming with fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and a collection of mouth-watering dishes. Close by, a glass of water glistens, reflecting the soft ambient light. A slice of freshly baked white bread completes the scene, adding a touch of simplicity and comfort to the enticing display.

Bergen Brunch

In this restaurant it feels like you are stepping into Paris in 1920. The interior and music is done with real finesse, and is really something to see when you are visiting Bergen. 



The French menu doesn&#8217;t disappoint either, with a nice selection of food and wine. Whether you are visiting Cherie for lunch or dinner, you can&#8217;t go wrong. Once you&#8217;re there we recommend that you take a walk around the venue and explore all the details!

Brasserie Cherie

Want a special experience? Not that many minutes walk from the city center, you&#8217;ll find Bark. It recently opened in Bergen, and oh is it at the top of our lists. The atmosphere itself is very cozy and we would say the perfect place for a date night. Some might consider this restaurant a bit prizy, but we would say that it is worth the visit. The kitchen uses only the best ingredients and the menu changes by the season. We recommend going for the &#8220;full package&#8221;, a 5-course dinner that will leave you full of the best Bark has to offer. Pair it with some wine or your alcohol-free beverage of choice and we can (almost) guarantee that you&#8217;ll have a wonderful experience. Pssst &#8211; some of our employees have also said that Bark has the best chocolate fondant in town so we would try that too if we were you.

Here you will find the healthiest and heartiest lunch in town!



They have a selection of excellent soups(meat, vegetarian and vegan), in addition to salads. You can compose the salads yourself, and they make a salad base with fresh spinach, which they mix with a delicious mango dressing.



In addition to delicious soups and salads, they also have coffee, matcha, golden milk, and a selection of raw cakes.

The scene showcases a delectable display of culinary delights, brimming with various vegetables and rice. The focus is on a large bowl overflowing with vibrant vegetables and fluffy grains, serving as the centerpiece of the composition.

Daily Pot

Craving some Asian food? Then we suggest you try out Ying Ying. A restaurant where beautiful Asian dishes and an elegant atmosphere meet, you&#8217;ll definitely have a fantastic experience. They adapt their menu seasonally, to make sure you always get the best ingredients. We recommend the Szechuan Beef, and maybe some Baozi if you&#8217;re feeling extra hungry!

Ying Ying

A relatively new and very popular restaurant in Bergen that serves Italian food. From our experience, we haven&#8217;t tried anything we didn&#8217;t like!



It is located in the cozy &#8220;Skostredet&#8221; and has a nice outside terrace in addition to the inside space. This place is golden year-round.



The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is top-notch. We recommend you book well in advance or be prepared to stand in line. They have a few tables for drop-in, but there is usually a queue.

Villani

One of our top-pics in Bergen! At this cozy bistro, they change the menu daily but always have a fish dish, a meat dish and good selection of vegetarian dishes. They also have wonderfully good small dishes such as falafel with hummus, grilled vegetables and tomatoes with feta and hazelnuts. It&#8217;s a bit hard to pinpoint the exact cuisine. It just feels like they make whatever they like &#8211; and it works!



If you&#8217;re a group, we recommend you ask the waiter to put together a tasting menu. You won&#8217;t be disappointed.

Allmuen

Hands down the best sushi in Bergen. Nama is known for its excellent service, the good-looking venue, and the quality of the kitchen. The restaurant combines good ingredients and simple preparation into a completely unique taste experience. 



The food is based on sharing, and they have great drinks. They have Japanese robatayaki cuisine, Izakaya, and a sushi bar. Perfect place to bring your date if you want to impress someone.

The scene is set on a table adorned with an assortment of delectable treats. In the center of the table lies a plate of sushi. The sushi roll is garnished with a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds and topped with decadent caviar. To accompany the delectable sushi, a refreshing drink awaits.

Nama

Si vous aimez la cuisine chinoise, Banzha à Bergen est l&#8217;endroit qu&#8217;il vous faut! Les portions sont un peu plus petites que dans les restaurants norvégiens similaires, mais la qualité est nettement supérieure. Vous ferez ainsi un voyage gustatif dans la province du Yunnan, en Chine, et vous aurez l&#8217;occasion de découvrir une culture culinaire unique.
