If you’re into creativity, design, or just want to see something a bit different, the Design Museum Brussels is a great stop. Located in the Heysel district, it’s about 30–35 minutes from the hotel by public transport – but well worth the trip if you’ve got a few hours to spare.

The museum is best known for its Plastic Design Collection, a colorful and surprisingly fun celebration of plastic furniture and objects from the mid-20th century to today. There are also changing exhibitions that cover everything from graphic design and architecture to everyday objects that make you look twice.

It’s modern, thoughtful, and just the right size – not too big, not too small. Perfect for an easy-going afternoon with a creative twist.
