First off, we are super happy that you’d like to book a stay with us! Unfortunately, you must be over 18 years old to check into Citybox without adult supervision. But don’t worry; we’ll be here waiting for you!
Yes. To comply with local regulations, all guests must present a valid photo ID when checking in. This is a standard requirement for hotels and accommodation providers and applies at all Citybox hotels.
The ID verification process is quick and easy! Simply scan your ID at our self-service check-in terminal upon arrival.
Easy! The Airport Express Bus stops at Polaria on Strandvegen, right by the hotel, and the journey from Tromsø Airport takes around 20 minutes. You can also take local buses 40 or 42 from the airport, or grab a taxi if you prefer door-to-door service.
Citybox is committed to reducing its environmental impact, and several of our hotels are Green Key certified, an international eco-label for sustainable tourism. Guests can support our efforts by being mindful of energy and water consumption during their stay. Read more about our sustainability initiatives and Green Key certification
Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00. If you want to stay a little longer, let us know. You can stay (by request) until 14:00 for free in a double room if you are a Citybox Friend. If you want to stay even longer, you’ll, unfortunately, need to pay for another night as we need time to clean the room before the next guest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours in our luggage room in the lobby.
You can bring your furry family member for an extra 15€/199NOK/199SEK per stay; just let us know in advance. We can’t wait to have them stay with us! We do love all animals, but we must put a leash on it and stick to only one dog or cat per room.
Of course! Extra towels, a water kettle, and extra pillows are available in our Citybox Host Office on the ground floor.
At Citybox Hotels, we believe in making sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. That’s why all our rooms are equipped with a comfy bed, a desk and chair, and a modern bathroom with soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer. Some of the rooms also have a small seating area for you to kick back and relax and make yourself at home.
We have free Wi-Fi for all our guests; no secret codes or passwords are required! Just connect and surf away.
Absolutely! This is Northern Norway, after all. Tromsø has plenty of cross-country trails in and around the city, whether you’re a total beginner or practically born with skis on your feet. You can also find downhill skiing nearby, rent equipment in the city, or book a guided trip to learn the basics.
Yes! You’ll find several green spaces around Tromsø, including Muséparken just around the corner from the hotel. For a longer walk, Folkeparken and Telegrafbukta are great options for some fresh Arctic air.
Yes! Tromsø might not be the first place that comes to mind for a beach holiday, but it does have a few. Telegrafbukta is the local favorite, with a beach, green spaces, and great views of the surrounding mountains. Just keep in mind that the Arctic Ocean is exactly as refreshing as it sounds.
Absolutely. Tromsø is surrounded by mountains and hiking trails, so you won’t have to go far to find a good walk. For something easy, explore the trails around Tromsøya and Prestvannet. For bigger views, head across to Tromsdalen, where you’ll find popular hikes and the Sherpa Steps up toward Fjellheisen.
