How about starting your day with a little walk? When you stay at Citybox Lite Kristiansand you are so close that you can see the start of the beautiful Baneheia park.



There are several hiking opportunities on rambling paths and lighted trails. Go for a swim in one of the three “stampers” or try out your fishing luck in the same lakes. You will have a great view over the city center and the fjord from some of the looking points. You can also walk through Baneheia and end up in the beautiful nature park Ravnedalen.

During summer, the park is home to frequent concerts, festivals, and theatre productions. Ravnedalen is also home to the cozy “Cafe Generalen,” where you can enjoy homemade hamburgers, salads and soups.

Up for some shopping while visiting Kristiansand? Sørlandssenteret is among the largest shopping centers in Northern Europe. It lies 12 km east of Kristiansand, close to the popular «Dyreparken». The mall has expanded several times and has almost 200 different shops!



If you get hungry, there is no need to worry. At Sørlandssenteret you will find a wide selection of cozy cafés, restaurants and even a smoothie bar!

The restaurant offers a full-service Brasserie with a modern international á la carte and a seasonal 5-course menu. If you choose to enjoy your visit in the outside seating you will do so surrounded by herbs, fruit trees and berry bushes. At Hos Moi you will get a treat for both your tummy and your soul.

Smag &amp; Behag Kristiansand is an eatery that focus on high-quality food, local ingredients, and good flavors. The restaurant opened in the summer of 2020 in the completely renovated gymnasium of the old Kongensgate school in Kristiansand. The atmosphere is fantastic, and this is the perfect place to bring a date or to celebrate an anniversary.



If you are a wine-lover we definitely recommend that you take a trip down to the wine cellar. Here you will find a wide selection of high quality wines.

Probably the oldest pub in town! At Telfords Pub, you can please your tastebuds with a craft beer from Qvart Ølkompani in Lund. If you’re lucky, you will get to enjoy your pint to the sound of the locals singing along to traditional songs.

Kristiansand

You can bring your furry family member for an extra 15€/150NOK per night; just let us know in advance. We can’t wait to have them stay with us! We do love all animals, but we must put a leash on it and stick to only one dog or cat per room.

Can I bring my dog?

Of course! Extra towels, a water kettle, and extra pillows are available in our Citybox Host Office on the ground floor.

Can I get extra towels?

Cleaning will be done on the departure of the guest(s) but not during short stays unless cleaning has specifically been booked and paid for by the guest(s). During longer stays, the rooms will be cleaned once a week.

Does my room get cleaned every day?

TVs can be found in the common room on the ground floor, alongside books, board games, and activities such as darts and table tennis. We do have free (and fast) Wi-Fi so you can stream Netflix in your room on your laptop or iPad!

Does my room have a TV?

We have free Wi-Fi for all our guests; no secret codes or passwords are required! Just connect and surf away.

Does your hotel have Wi-Fi?

We may be budget-friendly, but we don’t skimp on the essentials! Leave your towels and sheets at home; we’ve got you covered.

Should I bring my own sheets? 

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00. If you want to stay a little longer, let us know. You can stay until 13:00 for free. If you want to stay until 14:00, it’s an extra 150 NOK, and if you want to stay until 15:00, it’s an extra 300 NOK. If you want to stay even longer, you’ll, unfortunately, need to pay for another night as we need time to clean the room before the next guest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours in our luggage room in the lobby.

What is the check-in & check-out time?

Unfortunately, we don’t have our own parking facilities, but you can use street parking or Slottet Parking Garage, which is located close to the hotel.

Where can I park my car?

For non-prepaid bookings, we gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express as payment options. However, please note that we do not accept American Express as a payment method for prepaid bookings.



Cash payment is accepted across all of our hotels, but you need a valid credit or debit card as a guarantee. This card doesn&#8217;t get charged (unless something unexpected happens); It&#8217;s primarily intended for security reasons.

Which payment options do you accept?

Yes! Our luggage storage is open for all guests before check-in and after check-out. Just ask our hosts at the hotel, and they will help you out!

Can I store my luggage at the hotel?

After you book your stay, you will receive a booking confirmation, including a booking number. When you check in, type in your booking number on our check-in terminal, make your payment, and you will receive your key card and room number.



When checking out, type in your room number, and leave your key card in the box next to the terminal.

How do I check in and out?

Regional bus: This will take you to the hotel in about 40-50 minutes. Get off at Tollbodgata Q, and the hotel is a 7 minute-walk away.  



Taxi: The taxi queue is right outside the airport and will take you to the hotel in about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The prices will vary, so asking for a fixed price is smart.



Also &#8211; we are currently in the process of getting a deal with Ridel, which is a more affordable taxi offer that consists of electric cars only. More details will come when the deal is complete.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Our hotel room doors take up to 60 seconds to lock automatically due to safety reasons. All hotels in Norway have a special regulation for this. But don’t worry, if you’re in a hurry, tap your key card on the door, and it will lock right away.

How do I lock my door?

First off; we are super happy that you’d like to book a stay with us! Unfortunately, you must be over 18 years old to check into Citybox without supervision. But don’t worry; we’ll be here waiting for you!&nbsp;

How old do I have to be to stay with you?

Breakfast is not included. Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the vending machines in the lobby. We also have a guest kitchen equipped with a microwave oven, toasters, and kettles, so you are able to prepare your own breakfast.

Is breakfast included?

If you want to add a member to your sleepover, it will cost €20/NOK200 for an extra bed (baby cot €12/NOK 125) and must be pre-ordered by phone.

What does an extra bed cost?

At Citybox Hotels, we believe in making sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. That’s why all our rooms are equipped with a comfy bed, a desk and chair, and a modern bathroom with soap and shampoo. Some of the rooms also have a small seating area for you to kick back and relax and make yourself at home.
