Spago is restaurant only a 5-minute walk from the hotel, here you will be welcomed by warmth and love for Italian cuisine and culture. The restaurant is well attended and there is always a good vibe. Enjoy dinner and a wonderful view of Stockholm at Gondolen! The restaurant can be found on the very top of the building and is the perfect place to end your day. The menu consist of classical, Swedish food with an added elegant playfulness. Their vision is to have an old fashioned, but classic restaurant with a modern and sophisticated feel. 



Gondolen also has a wide variety of drinks, and even regular live jazz events!

Looking for a place to quench your thirst? Then Bar Zeppelin is the place for you! This bar is a part of Gondolen, which means you are never far away as a guest of Citybox Stockholm. Bar Zeppelin serves classic drinks like Strawberry Daiquiris, but you can also experience new drinks from the menu, depending on the season. 



You can even get a table outside with an amazing view of Stockholm, which is highly recommended on sunny days.

Just a 15 minute walk from the hotel you will find Mahalo. We&#8217;re talking healthy and colorful smoothie bowls, juices, great coffee and vegan-friendly pastries. 



They describe themselves as a plant based lifestyle café, and even have a wide selection of hot dishes and salads. 



In the summer-time you can sit in their backyard and enjoy your meal to the fullest. Or just get take away to the hotel!

Liebling is a modern German bistro with very good variatons of schnitzel, sausages and sides. Our favorite is the veal schnitzel with potato salad, but If you feel a bit crazy&#8230; you can order their version of a real sausage party served for two, you won&#8217;t leave hungry!

Kvarnen opened for the first time back in 1908 and has been an important place for the residents of Södermalm ever since. Here you can experience Swedish home cooking in a traditional restaurant environment. You can also have a good beer and maybe talk to a stranger about Swedish soccer.



Look out for someone with a white and green scarf or hat &#8211; many &#8220;Hammarbyare&#8221; hang out here.

Kvarnen

Kapibara Ramen, the place that will satisfy all your ramen cravings! A small but cozy restaurant with many good options of Ramen on the menu, both as a vegetarian or as a chicken lover. The mushroom gyoza is something you just need to try &#8211; the taste is amazing! Kapibara Ramen is open both for lunch and for dinner, if you&#8217;re hungover at the hotel you can of course order take away and eat in bed.

If you are a gin lover then you have to pay a visit to Brännerian! Wonderful gin drinks along with other cocktails are served here. You can eat modern small dishes as snacks or as a full dinner. Another added bonus is that the gin you get in your glass is distilled in the distillery next door, so it won&#8217;t get much more fresh! Don&#8217;t miss their signature drink &#8220;Grape and Berries&#8221; contains Stockholm akvavit and is delicious.

Bistro Renard is your neighborhood bistro on Södermalm – a restaurant full of tradition, character and hospitality. Here, French and Swedish cuisine meet, familiar dishes are combined with selected modern elements.



Here they offer both lunch and dinner in a cozy environment. Everything is prepared with care and fine ingredients, a bonus is that you can thank the chefs personally through the open kitchen at the exit.

The building is just next to the water and it&#8217;s a must-visit spot fort art lovers and anyone looking for a unique cultural experience. From our lobby you can see both Djurgården and Skeppsholmen. These two islands have so much culture and fun things to offer. You take the boat from Slussen over to the islands where, you can choose between several museums, Skansen&#8217;s zoo or the amusement park Gröna Lund.



Moderna Museet is one of Europe’s leading museums for modern and contemporary art, located at Skeppsholmen. In the same buildinf you find ArkDes, the museum for architecture and design.



If you continue with the boat to Djurgården, you will find the amusement park Gröna Lund. Don&#8217;t miss the chain flyers just next to the water &#8211; we promise a lovely &#8220;flight&#8221;. A short walk from the park is the Vasa Museum, the entire ship that once sunk just outside the harbor is restored inside the museum &#8211; here you can learn about what really happened.



Our best restaurant tip on Djurgården is Skroten. Genuine environment in a beautiful place where you will find incredible &#8220;raspberry caves&#8221; and a fish soup with prawns you won&#8217;t soon forget.



Last but not least we want to mention the ABBA-Museum. This is very fun for every music lover. This year the museum are celebrating ABBA- 50 Years. 1974 was the year they won Eurovison song contest with Waterloo and now you can se the original costumes. Prepare for laugh, singing and a lot of fun!

Djurgården/Skeppsholmen

Follow us on a journey through 500 years of Stockholm’s history. Welcome to Stockholm City Museum. The museum is open for everyone and the entrance is free. The museum offers both historical exhibitions and various temporary exhibitions. In the entrance there is a cute gift shop with books and small fun things to buy as souvenirs.

Looking for a real adventure? Then we highly recommend that you visit the Gröna Lund Amusement park! It&#8217;s actually the oldest one in Sweden and was founded in 1883. The amusement park has over 30 rides in addition to restaurants and bars. In the summer you can even catch a concert or two &#8211; but remember to book tickets in advance! 



The perfect place to spend the day with your family or a group of friends! You have to take the ferry to get there, which really let&#8217;s you see the views of Stockholm.

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00. If you want to stay a little longer, let us know. You can stay (by request) until 14:00 for free if you are a Citybox Friend. If you want to stay even longer, you’ll, unfortunately, need to pay for another night as we need time to clean the room before the next guest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours in our luggage room in the lobby.

What is the check-in & check-out time?

At Citybox Hotels, we believe in making sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. That’s why all our rooms are equipped with a comfy bed, a desk and chair, and a modern bathroom with soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer. Some of the rooms also have a small seating area for you to kick back and relax and make yourself at home.

Our closest indoor garage with approx. 300 places for visitors are Stigbergsgaraget, Renstiernas Gata 5, Södermalm. It is approx. 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Here you can park both by the hour and by the day. The garage&#8217;s opening hours are 06.00 &#8211; 00.00.

Where can I park?

They are amazing, right? We get our beds from <a href="http://www.hildinganders.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.hildinganders.com</a> which usually only delivers to hotels. However, they carry different brands, and the Jensen bed would be equivalent to the beds we have at the hotel.

Where are the beds from?

We gladly accept Visa and Mastercard as payment options both on our website and in the hotels. For prepaid bookings, we also offer Apple Pay. 



We do not accept American Express as a payment option, but we do accept it as a guarantee on our website. 



Cash payment is accepted across all of our hotels (except for Citybox Helsinki), but you need a valid credit or debit card as a guarantee. This card doesn&#8217;t get charged (unless something unexpected happens); It&#8217;s primarily intended for security reasons.

Which payment options do you accept?

The metro station Slussen is located just next to the hotel. All trains of the green and red lines stop at Slussen, and the blue line departs from T-central.      Several city buses and buses to Nacka/Värmdö depart from Slussen. Find your best trip at SL.se.    You can easily buy tickets for the subway and buses in the SL app, at the subway kiosks, Pressbyrån, or 7-Eleven.

Where is the closest metro station or bus stop?

If you want to add a member to your sleepover, it will cost €15/NOK200 for an extra bed and must be pre-ordered by phone.

What does an extra bed cost?

We may be budget-friendly, but we don’t skimp on the essentials! Leave your towels and sheets at home; we’ve got you covered.

Should I bring my own sheets? 

Breakfast is not included. Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the vending machines in the lobby. We also have a guest kitchen equipped with a microwave oven, toasters, and kettles, so you are able to prepare your own breakfast.

Is breakfast included?

First off, we are super happy that you’d like to book a stay with us! Unfortunately, you must be over 18 years old to check into Citybox without adult supervision. But don’t worry; we’ll be here waiting for you!

How old do I have to be to stay with you?

After you book your stay, you will receive a booking confirmation, including a booking number. When you check in, type in your booking number on our check-in terminal, make your payment, and you will receive your key card and room number.



When checking out, type in your booking reference, and leave your key card in the box next to the terminal.

We offer all our guests a good night&#8217;s sleep and extra good daytime sleep in our dark rooms without windows. With the help of creative lighting and warm colors, our interior architects have created beautiful hotel rooms without real daylight &#8211; something we are very proud of!

What does it mean that the hotel has “dark rooms”?

TV is available along with books and board games on the ground floor. We do have free (and fast) Wi-Fi so you can stream Netflix in your room on your laptop or iPad!

Does my room have a TV?

We don&#8217;t clean your room every day. Housekeeping is done after check-out and once a week during longer stays. This helps us keep our prices low and is also a big plus for the environment! Extra cleaning can be ordered for a small fee, just stop by the Host Office.

Can I get help booking a taxi?

The Djurgården ferry (Swedish: Djurgårdsfärjan) is an inner city ferry route in Stockholm. It runs from a terminal near Slussen to Allmänna gränd on the island of Djurgården, with an optional stop at the island of Skeppsholmen. The service is integrated into Stockholm&#8217;s public transport system, and you can buy your ticket from the boat. The boat trip from Slussen to Djurgården takes about 15 minutes.
