Seurasaari
For an outdoor experience, why not stroll around our biggest open-air museum?
This museum island, Seurasaari, holds old Finnish houses and displays some of our old farm life history. As children, we used to feed nuts to the squirrels. I don’t know if that’s allowed anymore – but if it is, take a few almonds in your pocket to see if you can get a squirrel to eat out of your hand.
Also, the bridge over to the island is iconic to us Helsinki-ers. A selfie upon each visit is a must!
