Terms Citybox Friends

Citybox Friends, by Citybox AS no. org 989 551 752, rewards registered guests (referred to as ‘Friends’) for being a member of our loyalty program. When a Friend makes a direct booking via cityboxhotels.com as a registered and logged-in member, they receive the benefits listed below.

The following terms and conditions form the basis of this loyalty program.

Membership to the Citybox Friends loyalty program is open to all persons who are legal adults or legally competent according to the laws of the country in which they reside. If this is not the case, the membership is deemed not to have come into being in the first place. To become a Friend, the person has to register via the loyalty platform (here), or they can choose to become a member as part of the booking process. When registering, all required fields must be answered truthfully and in full. To become a Friend, a valid email address must be provided. Two members can’t use the same email address. Address changes or any other changes to personal information can be updated by the Friend themselves on their profiles. Friends may not share their passwords with third parties and are responsible for the use and confidentiality of their login data. If the registration is successful, the member immediately receives access to their Friend profile (including access to the various functions of the membership area (My Page, Benefits listings, logged-in booking, and more at cityboxhotels.com). One must become a member to access the My Page function at cityboxhotels.com. There are no costs related to being a Friend.

The following benefits are as listed per September 2023. The benefits can be altered and changed in part or in full by Citybox AS at any time.

  • 10% off all bookings done directly at cityboxhotels.com.
  • Free Early check-in from 12:00 on standard double rooms.
  • Free late check-out till 14.00 on standard double rooms.
  • Higher probability of upgrades.

 

 

These Conditions of Participation can be changed in part or in full by Citybox AS at any time. In the event of such changes, appropriate consideration will be given to the member’s interests. Insofar as changes substantially affect the rights and obligations of the member, members will be notified of this prior to enactment of the changes in their Citybox Friends profile or via email and will have the opportunity to object within a reasonable period of time.

Changes to the benefits of the Citybox Friends loyalty program

It is expressly made clear that the Citybox Friends benefits specified above can also be changed or withdrawn in part or in full at any time.

The benefits apply to all hotels under the Citybox brand name.

Consent to receive newsletters and other information

By joining the Citybox Friends loyalty program, the (user) agrees, as consideration, to receive advertising material (electronic messages about the program, i.e., general information, overview of bookings, personalized information, and offers, etc.).

As consideration for a free membership to the loyalty program, the Friend consents to the collection, processing, and use of their personal data by Citybox AS as required for the execution of the Citybox Friends loyalty program, as well as in the context of bookings and for the transmission of regular information about news, promotions, and offers of Citybox via email and other electronic media.

The Friend, furthermore, as a consideration, consents to the use of their personal data for targeted advertising purposes on the websites by Citybox as well as on social media platforms.

Should the Friend no longer wish to receive such information, they are able to unsubscribe via their My Page.

By joining the Citybox Friends loyalty program, the Friend declares their consent to the use of their personal data in accordance with the data protection provisions (https://cityboxhotels.com/privacy).

Citybox Friends membership starts with successful registration and is valid indefinitely, except in the case of cancellation from either party.

The Friend can cancel their Citybox Friends membership by contacting support via email at citybox@cityboxhotels.com.

Citybox AS is entitled to cancel the membership for good cause without notice and without compensation. Cause for cancellation includes violation of these general terms and conditions, the general terms and conditions applicable to the participating hotels, provision of false information, and any inappropriate or criminal conduct (in particular unpleasant, malicious, or offensive behavior toward hotel staff or guests) by the member. Citybox AS reserves the right to pursue further rights and measures in such a case. By registering for the Citybox Friends loyalty program, the Friend unconditionally accepts these Conditions of Participation and the General Terms and Conditions and privacy policy (https://cityboxhotels.com/privacy/privacy-policy).
