"I can't stress enough what a bargain Citybox Hotels are. They have beautiful modern bathrooms, super comfortable beds, and you are directly in the center of it all, the train, the shops, it's all a quick walk. I actually preferred the rooms in Bergen over Oslo, but both were fantastic. No reason to stay anywhere else if you like clean, modern, and cheap. Killer wireless and great views."

"We had a nice stay in a small double room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Its location was excellent. It's near a KIWI and a REMA 1000, and a few minutes walk from a bunnpris. Also, it's easy to get on a tram or bus. It's in the city center so it's walkable from many beautiful sights. Overall, a nice choice for a mid-range hotel."

I like the concept of a “reception-free hotel.” Nevertheless, ALL facilities are available. The proximity to restaurants and city life in general made this spontaneous hotel stay absolutely fantastic. Cleanliness in the bathroom is something I value highly, and the cleaning staff did an acceptable job. I would have appreciated an extra set of towels, clothes hangers, and a refrigerator.

I live in Voss and was planning to travel to Spain from Flesland. I need to catch the train from Voss to Bergen early in the morning. All too often, the train doesn't run due to snow, rockfalls or problems with the tracks. Because of this, I've decided to travel to Bergen the night before instead. I think your offer is great for me. It's only a few minutes from the train station and the light rail. The hotel is clean and nice, and I'm very satisfied

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00. If you want to stay a little longer, let us know. You can stay (by request) until 14:00 for free in a double room if you are a Citybox Friend. If you want to stay even longer, you’ll, unfortunately, need to pay for another night as we need time to clean the room before the next guest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours in our luggage room in the lobby.

Airport bus: Look for signs pointing to the airport bus terminal. An express bus called “Flybussen” goes from the airport to the city center. You can easily buy tickets at the bus terminal or online.

Light Rail: There’s also an excellent light rail system called “Bybanen.” It’s a train that goes right into the city center. You can find the station inside the airport terminal; follow the well-marked signs.

Get off at “Bergen Busstasjon,” and the hotel is a 5-minute walk away.

You can also travel by taxi, but we recommend the light rail or bus, both are more sustainable and nicer to your wallet!

Yes! Our luggage storage is open for all guests before check-in and after check-out. Simply use the terminals to get a keycard for the luggage room. Please note that luggage is stored at the guest’s own risk. And as always, if you need help ask our hosts at the hotel!

If you need to wash your clothes, there is a self-service laundromat located on the second floor. Laundry detergent is included in the price and goes into the machine automatically. The price for one wash is NOK 50,- and so is one round in the dryer. We accept card payments only. Open from 09:00 to 21:00.

Breakfast is not included. Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the vending machines in the lobby. We also have a guest kitchen equipped with a microwave oven and kettles, so you are able to prepare your own breakfast.

If you’re craving something else, we recommend that you check out our “The Guide” or ask one of our amazing host for their best tips.

Unfortunately, we do not offer parking at the hotel. However, you can park at Grieg Park, located under the Grieg Hall just across the road, or at the City Garage (Bygarasjen) by the bus station, which is only a few minutes’ walk away.
Grieg Park charges NOK 280 per day, while Bygarasjen offers a daily rate of NOK 250.
